MonaVie as a Business

We started taking MonaVie as a way to transform our health and change our lives...we had no idea of the financial opportunity-an additional blessing! How can you NOT share it with your friends and family after seeing what it has done for so many, including yourself? Your personal testimony is so easy to tell. MonaVie As A Business

You might have heard of MonaVie, a company that makes and distributes a high quality juice and gel pack made from the acai berry and a number of other superfoods. This juice is used and endorsed by a number of athletes and celebrities, and has been said to enhance their performance significantly. More than seventy percent of the Houston Dynamo have been using MonaVie since the beginning of their 2007 Championship season. MonaVie also works closely with the MORE project, a charitable Brazilian organization. All these things make it a great business opportunity to be involved with.

There are lots of other multi level marketing programs out there, but many of them don't offer a quality product, have unnecessarily high fees and requirements, and don't let you make the most profit on the items you sell. MonaVie's performance enhancing juice and gels are real products with real effects, and they're made from quality ingredients. The most important part of the blend is the acai berry, considered a superfood by many experts. However, that's not the only thing that goes into MonaVie juice. There's also camu camu, lychee, pomegranate, and a number of other high quality, anti-oxidant juices, none of which are prepared from concentrate. There are no emulsifiers or other additives in this product.

To participate in the MonaVie business opportunity, the initial distributor fee is a low thirty-nine dollars. That's not very much for starting your own business, especially compared to other programs which may charge thousands. In fact, a single sale of MonaVie juice will cover the initial cost of getting into business. If you want to maximize your profits, it's possible to buy in bulk at a lower cost per unit. There's no need to sell just within the MonaVie network, either. You can choose to market the products anywhere and to anyone you want. Take advantage of the opportunities life sends you, and expand your customer base. Unlike many other MLM plans, your income comes from actual sales of a quality product, not from the enrollment fees of new members. That's because there's actually something behind MonaVie, and it works as a business.

If you've heard of MonaVie, and its great juice product, why not become part of the whole operation? You could be sharing this product with others, and making a profit yourself, for a very low initial investment. Check out what it takes to become part of MonaVie, and look through everything carefully to make certain you understand the process. This could be a great opportunity!

Mona Vie & Goji

MonaVie Ingredients - Wolfberry (Goji)

MonaVie Ingredient - Wolfberry Among the ingredients in MonaVie there are 19 fruits, although some come from fairly common fruits such as white grapes , pears and kiwi, others like the acai berry are a little more exotic. One of these is the Wolfberry also known as Goji.

Wolfberry is a fruit popular in China and Eastern Asia, and known medicinally for 2000 years. In China, the dried wolfberry fruit is a popular food. People also drink wolfberry juice. In the English-speaking world, "goji berry" has been widely used since the early 21st
century as a synonym for "wolfberry".

Wolfberries are sweet in taste and neutral in nature. They act on the liver, lungs, and
kidneys and enrich yin. They can be eaten raw, consumed as juice or wine, brewed into an
herbal tea photo 1photo 2 or prepared as a tincture. The berries are also used in
traditional Korean medicine, traditional Japanese medicine and traditional Tibetan
medicine.

Wolfberries (Lycium barbarum) have long played important roles in traditional Chinese
medicine where they are believed to enhance immune system function, improve eyesight,
protect the liver, boost sperm production and improve circulation.

What's in Wolfberry?

A number of compounds are present in Wolfberry, including flavonoids and pyrrole
derivatives.

Wolfberry contains significant percentages of a day's macronutrient needs – carbohydrates,
protein, fat and dietary fiber. 68% of the mass of dried wolfberries exists as
carbohydrate, 12% as protein, and 10% each as fiber and fat, giving a total caloric value
in a 100 gram serving of 370 (kilo)calories,of which 272 come from carbohydrates, and 90 of
which come from fat.

Wolfberries contain a variety of nutrients which are beneficial to human health, including: Zeaxanthin

  • Polysaccharides

  • Selenium

  • Beta-carotene

  • Calcium

  • 6 vitamins

Cost Comparison of Mona Vie

We've been working on our own calculations (comparing Shaklee prices and the cost of your basic 'what you can buy' fresh fruits) and came across this wonderful breakdown of just the few ingredients (NOTE: Prices are from about a year ago):

The True Cost of Mona Vie!!!

Here is a study performed by Sharon M. Martin, B.A., LMT, CNMT. The subject of her study was "A comparison shopping by certified neuromascular therapist on Monavie."

People who don't understand what Mona Vie is are quick to label it "an overpriced juice with a slick marketing campaign," but they're making snap judgements and have not taken the time to really examine the product in detail, nor have they compared it with other nutraceuticals on the market.

I was at the health food store today and I decided to price the acai juice and compare it with the price of Mona Vie. I also priced the liquid glucosamine and the celadrin, because I think it is significant to consider the cost of having to buy those two items separately as opposed to having them already contained in your acai berry complex. I also took into consideration that the healthfood store sells pure acai, without the synergystic blend of other fruit juices.

In addition, I compared the price of acai juice to the price of noni juice. I did this for my own benefit so I could have a clear understanding the dollar value of a bottle of MonaVie.
  • 1 750 ml bottle Mona Vie Original $32.00
  • 1 750 ml bottle Mona Vie Active $37.00
  • 750 Milliliters = about 25 Fluid Ounces
Each bottle of Mona Vie is just over 25 oz ($1.28 per oz for the Original and $1.48 per oz for the Active). If that seems like a lot, consider the fact that people walk into Nature's Way Cafe and shell out $3.00 for an ounce of wheatgrass without batting an eye.
  • 32 oz bottle acai $23.99 (.75 cents per oz)
  • 16 oz bottle noni $12.99 (.81 cents per oz)
  • 32 oz bottle noni $22.99 (.72 cents per oz)
  • 8 oz liquid glucosamine $12.59 ($1.57 per oz)
  • 16 oz liquid glucosamine $26.99 ($1.67 per oz)
  • 30 oz liquid glucosamine $39.99 ($1.33 per oz)
  • 32 oz liquid glucosamine $45.99 ($1.44 per oz)
  • 120 capsules celadrin $26.29 (.22 cents per capsule)
  • 90 softgels celadrin $23.79 (.26 cents per softgel)
The recommended daily dose of liquid glucosamine is 1/4 oz., which is equivalent to 1.5 teaspoons, and the daily dosage of celadrin is three capsules daily (though, I'm not sure of the exact milligrams that should be in each capsule). I assume the two daily ounces of Mona Vie contains the appropriate amount of each factor.

So, a daily dose of Mona Vie Active costs $1.48 x 2 = $2.96. If you had to buy everything separately, it would cost $1.50 for the acai, about $3.00 for the liquid glucosamine, and then another .48 cents for the celadrin, for a total daily cost of $4.98. By drinking Mona Vie, you save $2.02 per day, or about $60 bucks a month. **Plus, you get the benefit of the other synergystically beneficial fruits.

The reason I made the noni price comparison was to find out if acai and noni are comparable pricewise. If you shop at the healthfood store, an ounce of noni is about .77 cents, compared to an ounce of acai, which is about .75 cents per ounce. Overall, noni is slightly more expensive, and yet it's a big craze and people are not deterred by the price of noni.

Therefore, no one selling Mona Vie should feel they need to apologize in any way for the cost of the product, because it's well worth the price when you break it down and consider the value of its unique blend of ingredients.

Also, nobody makes any money by shopping at the healthfood store! Take it from an avid healthfood store shopper like myself, they'll faster go into debt

Acai and ORAC-Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity

Acai Berries and Oxygen Radical Absorbency Capacity (ORAC) PDF Print E-mail
We came across this info at mvsfl.com
Over the years, Acai berries have been gaining quite a reputation due to the many benefits associated with a high level of antioxidants. Through the consumption of antioxidant-rich foods, one may combat fatigue, illness, and disease, including heart ailments, cancer, and other degenerative concerns. To better understand the health benefits associated with Acai berries, it is important to become familiar with ORAC values.

What is ORAC?

The ability to control oxygen free radicals is expressed through an ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) number. Using test tube analysis, the ORAC number is assessed by the measurement of antioxidant activity for any given substance. Higher ORAC numbers means that a substance possesses stronger antioxidant powers. A variety of foods provide a high ORAC score, which includes Montgomery tart cherries, prunes, raisins, kale, spinach, cocoa, pomegranates, black raspberries, and Acai berries.

Benefits of High ORAC Values

The buzz regarding foods with high ORAC values, such as Acai berries, has centered on early findings that revealed the consumption of many fruits and vegetables with high ORAC scores may slow down the oxidation process linked to aging. It is a belief that antioxidant-rich foods possess the power to ease the detrimental changes concerning the body and brain that are caused by aging. Many middle-aged and younger individuals have started to increase the number of high-ORAC foods included in their diet in hopes of combating the diseases and illnesses associated with getting older.

Additional benefits connected to high ORAC values include the chance to combat long-term memory loss; slow down the deterioration of learning ability; boost brain cell activity; and prevent oxygen damage in different parts of the body, such as the capillaries (tiny blood vessels).

The ORAC Number of Acai Berries

In order to reap the benefits of antioxidants, a diet high in foods showcasing a high ORAC number is suggested. Fruits and vegetables are often assigned a high ORAC number. The USDA suggests a daily intake of 3,000 to 5,000 ORAC units. Unfortunately, the typical person in the United States is only consuming less than 1,000 ORAC units per day. In actuality, the recommended "5-a-day" fruit and vegetable requirement established by the USDA generally delivers an ORAC score of 1,750 units.

Common fruit favorites, such as the apple and banana respectively provide an ORAC score of 218 and 221.The blueberry is considered one of the healthiest berries in the world and offers an ORAC score of 2,400. However, when it comes to fresh Acai, the fruit holds an impressive ORAC score of 5,500. If you are lucky enough to get your hands on freeze-dried Sambazon Acai, you may take advantage of an ORAC value nearing 35,000 per 100 grams.

Sumner Redstone's Anti Aging Secret

Sumner Redstone & Bill Clinton's Anti-Aging Secret PDF Print E-mail
Fortune Magazine 2007
There may be some debate about future control of Viacom and CBS, but the media mogul doesn't plan to bequeath his empire anytime soon - thanks to a little purple elixir.

(Fortune Magazine) - As the years tick by, Sumner Redstone just gets more optimistic. Earlier this year the 84-year-old said he planned to live another 50 years; two years ago he was predicting another 20.

His age has been in the spotlight lately because of the recent public spat with his daughter over his succession plans, but the controller of Viacom (Charts) and CBS (Charts, Fortune 500) has lately been getting a bit of help in the form of a little-known superjuice called MonaVie. "It's a miracle drug," he told Fortune. "I feel great."

A dark-purple elixir with a cult-like following, MonaVie is an antioxidant-rich concoction whose main ingredient is the Brazilian açai berry (pronounced ah-sigh-ee), long touted among health nuts for its anti-aging ingredients.

Vitamin-water it's not
MonaVie costs $40 a bottle, and you can't get it in stores; it's marketed only through the company's network of thousands of individuals who sell it out of their homes (think Avon or Tupperware). Redstone first heard of the juice from Viacom exec Bill Roedy on a trip to Germany in January. After learning that his butler's sister-in-law was a devotee too, Redstone ordered some up and started drinking four ounces a day. "Since I've been on MonaVie I haven't taken a sleeping pill," he says.

He even considered investing in Utah-based MonaVie after its CEO, Dallin Larsen, came to visit him at his Beverly Hills mansion. Redstone decided against it - because it would present a conflict of interest to recommend it to friends - but Larsen, a veteran nutritional-products salesman who founded the company in 2005, has no better ambassador.

At a recent party, Redstone gave bottles to Bill Clinton and celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck. "Just about every friend I have is on it," Redstone says - a group he says includes Viacom and CBS board members as well as cancer survivor and former junk-bond king Michael Milken. (It can also be found in the clubhouse of the Boston Red Sox; pitcher Jonathan Papelbon is a fan.)

So is it a fad, or is there something to it? Nothing proves that MonaVie cures any ailment, but in one of the first academic studies of açai's benefits, University of Florida researcher Stephen Talcott found that the berry's antioxidants destroyed leukemia cells in a laboratory. But Talcott has since distanced himself from MonaVie and its junkies.

Larsen is careful not to cross the line. "It's not a drug," he says. He touts the juice as a way to "increase energy in a natural way" and to alleviate "the everyday aches and pains from inflammation."

Redstone says he's never felt better. "I know I look a lot younger than I am," he says. "I feel like I'm 40 years old."
